Chaseside Residential Home is a magnificently built Porrit house constructed around the turn of the century. Mr Porrit built a few similar houses, however Chaseside was his own personal residence and his Pride and Joy. The building has many of its original features, such as marble fireplaces, coved ceilings and wide main staircase.
The property is set within a very impressive 'Square' overlooking Ashton Gardens which boasts delightful walks, peaceful seating and a cascading fountain. The home is conveniently situated for the railway station, bus stops, GP surgeries, churches and St Anne's shopping. It is also a short walk to the beach and promenade.
We can offer accommodation on a temporary or permanent basis. Short breaks give residents the opportunity to see how fulfilling and comfortable life at Chaseside can be.
Birthdays and other celebrations are celebrated and there is regular entertainment including competitions, visiting musicians, coffee mornings and games.
